Review 1: It’s hard to believe that the Arctic Monkeys are less than a decade old… or that their first album came out just over three years ago… or that this is only the third album for one of the biggest names in new music……

Review 2:………………………………Arctic Monkeys have always been a springy unit, but Humbug takes their playing to a whole new level. “Potion Approaching” and “Pretty Visitors” crackle with a controlled ferocity, providing a showcase for Matt Helders’ fearsome drumming.

Review 3: …………………releasing their challenging third record, Humbug, which finds the band distancing themselves from the short bursts of post-punk and aggressive attitudes of the first two albums for the sake of a more experimental, darker sound and even bleaker subject matter. The band also traveled to the desert of California to record with Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme, as well as the gritty streets of New York to finish recording with James Ford (Simian Mobile Disco), and those disparate surroundings permeate the work, as does the musical styles of the men manning the dials………..

Review 1: (2.5/5) Imogen Heap’s third solo album has been shrouded in great mystery for the last two years. She kept fans up-to-date with its progress through Twitter, but it seemed as though the more information she gave, the more mysterious it became. This is the case in hand with the album’s title – Ellipse. Ostensibly it is the shape found when dissecting a cone, a sort of elongated circle with flattened sides, but ‘ellipse’ also refers to the orbits planets make around the sun, eluding to the ‘two-body’ problem – the way a planet orbits a star, or a satellite the earth……

Review 2: While brilliant in places here, Heap seems sure to remain on the fringes………..

Review 3: After many false starts and failed release dates, Imogen Heap’s third solo album, Ellipse, is finally here. This is Heap’s first album since 2005, and it is also her first full-length for White Rabbit, an imprint of BMG that gives her big-label promotion with small-label control. Ellipse has also arrived via a rather, well, elliptical path in which Heap adopted and abandoned other large-scale projects, such as scoring a Disney documentary about flamingoes……

Review 1: ‘I Gotta Feeling’ is the second released single from the fifth Black Eyed Peas studio album ‘The E.N.D.’ An incredibly catchy piece of music, ‘I Gotta Feeling’ also happens to be supremely simple, something that definitely suits the track well. It’s a fun track; uplifting, and always very pleasant to listen to…..

Review 2:This is finally the true sequel to the Black Eyed Peas’ huge classic “Let’s Get It Started.” The abrupt change in musical style from the electro of “Boom Boom Pow” may startle some fans, but in recent years musical eclecticism has become a trademark of the Black Eyed Peas. ……

Review 1: At age 24, Ashley Tisdale is the elder of the “High School Musical” tribe that includes Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. Review 2: …………..Guilty Pleasure is indeed an authentic reflection of a girl growing up and speaking her mind on songs like the first single It’s Alright, It’s OK a spunky break-up anthem about being single and in control of your life for the first time. I love break-up songs, Tisdale admits. On this album, I put to rest a lot of baggage from a previous relationship by venting about the frustration. .

Review 2: Owl City sort of symbolizes every kid’s dream of making your own music in your room and somehow making it onto a major label. On top of everything Owl City, or Adam Young, makes it seem a little too easy picking happy go lucky themes to lay on top of happy go lucky electronic music………

Review 3:…………………..Ocean Eyes would’ve been so much better off if he seemed less desperate to impress and more willing to relax. Had he let his musician side do the talking instead of listening to what he’s been told will appeal, we feel it would’ve aided his début to no end. Every song seems fit to burst with convoluted characteristics, all aiming for the broadest demographic and refusing to try something experimental, even once.
