‘He’s the hottest thing since sliced bread,’ White says of Hov, who joins her on show May 8.

In one of the more inspired casting combinations in “Saturday Night Live” history, when Betty White hosts “SNL”
for the Mother’s Day special on May 8, she’ll be paired with musical guest Jay-Z. And, it seems that if the situation arises, she’d love to play Bonnie to his Clyde at some point during the show.

“I’m thrilled to meet him. I’m thrilled to hear he’s going to be on the show because he’s the hottest thing since sliced bread, but I certainly enjoy him. I hope well get along well,” White told reporters
Wednesday about her stint on the show next week. “Yes, [I have listened to his music] … I have no idea [if we'll work together]! But I’m game to try anything. This is an adventure!”

White insisted that she didn’t yet know what the show will entail. And, despite the show biz mantra about never working with kids or animals, animal-lover White would love the chance to do just that. “I have no idea what I’m going to be doing. I haven’t talked to anybody. I hope I’ll be with some kind of animals,” she said. “They’re the other half of my life. They always get my calm and tone me down.”

The episode with have many past female cast members coming back to make an appearance, and it leaves the fate of the male cast members up in the air. But, White is certain she’ll find someone to flirt with on set. “I hope not! But if there isn’t any, I’ll hit on every member of the crew!” she joked. “I’ve always had a bawdy sense of humor.”
